The Founder
With more than 28 years of experience leading teams, building businesses, and supporting clients across the Seattle area, Favorite Child Elder Concierge Founder Michael Thore built his career around one thing: people. From recruiting and executive search to managing teams for startups and Fortune 500 companies, his work has always focused on relationships, trust, communication, and helping others navigate important life transitions with confidence.
But the inspiration behind Favorite Child Elder Concierge became deeply personal. Like many working professionals, Michael found himself balancing the demands of a full-time career and family, while worrying about aging parents living across the country. Watching from a distance as his siblings managed the whirlwind of medical appointments, home repairs, and tech issues, he felt a familiar mix of stress and long-distance guilt.
He saw firsthand that what his family lacked was a professional partner — a trusted advocate on the ground to ease the burden on his siblings and provide the reassurance he couldn't deliver from afar.
That experience revealed a growing challenge facing many families today: adult children are expected to manage senior care, aging-in-place support, and day-to-day logistics while juggling careers, children, and responsibilities of their own. Families are not just looking for someone to complete tasks. They are looking for a trusted partner. Someone dependable. Someone detail-oriented. Someone who genuinely cares.

Michael's background in leadership, recruiting, and relationship management shaped the foundation of the company. His focus has never been simply managing projects or checking boxes. It has always been about building trust, creating community, and helping people feel supported during important moments in life.
